The translation should ideally be checked with a revision. The aim of this stage is to verify the accuracy of the translated text in comparison to the source text, as well as to ensure fluency and adaptation to the target audience. The spelling and grammar is also checked, and the choice of terminology is confirmed. This stage also enables the text to be viewed from a fresh angle. It is all-too-often neglected, however, due to time, resource and/or budgetary constraints. It is worth pointing out, however, that in certain cases, when the subject matter in question is extremely repetitive and handled systematically by the same people, revision can be somewhat superfluous.
